Vice President - Commercial Development

About the role

The Vice President – Commercial Development will lead the commercial growth of be’ah’s non‑hazardous waste portfolio, turning municipal solid waste and other streams into valuable resources. The role builds and matures the Commercial Development function, overseeing Growth & Partnerships, MSW Investment & Assets Development, and Commercial Management to deliver bankable, technically and commercially viable projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Commercial Development strategy, aligning it with the overall business plan and key performance metrics.
• Establish and lead the three sub‑functions, creating operating models, talent pipelines, and governance frameworks.
• Identify, screen, and develop opportunities for waste diversion and valorisation, managing relationships with industry partners, technology providers, and investors.
• Lead feasibility, pre‑feasibility, and financial modelling for projects, structuring partnership, off‑take, and investment agreements through to bankable close.
• Oversee commercial governance of contracts, concessions, pricing, revenue assurance, and dispute management.
• Drive downstream project delivery from concept to execution, ensuring smooth hand‑over to operational units and compliance with HSE guidelines.
• Set performance objectives for direct reports, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial development, investment, business development or project‑finance leadership role.
• International experience preferred.
• Professional certifications in project finance, commercial/contract management, recycling or energy recovery are a plus.
