Vice President Project Delivery

About the role

Provide executive leadership and single‑point accountability for the delivery of OQEP’s capital projects portfolio. The role oversees planning, engineering, construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and close‑out of all upstream projects, ensuring they meet agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality and functionality while upholding the highest health, safety, security and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver upstream capital projects from planning through commissioning and close‑out.
• Lead portfolio planning and resource optimisation in collaboration with business lines and the Projects Centre of Excellence.
• Direct integrated project reviews across planning, design and construction to maximise deliverability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain an overarching project portfolio framework, including scheduling, milestone identification and performance reporting.
• Oversee the continuous update of the integrated OQEP capital project master plan and set project strategies, policies and procedures.
• Maintain design and construction standards, govern design reviews and champion appropriate technology choices.
• Integrate project budgets with capital‑plan budgets, govern cost control and ensure rigorous project assurance.
• Promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship and organisational capability building.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in upstream project delivery within oil & gas or related sectors.
• Extensive background managing large‑scale capital projects, including OPEX and CAPEX budgeting.
• Deep understanding of international standards, local regulations and best practices for project governance.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and drive integrated project reviews.
• Strong track record of implementing robust project controls and risk management.
