Waiter / Waitress

About the role

The Waiter/Waitress provides professional and courteous food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The role covers taking orders, serving food and drinks, keeping the dining area clean and working with the kitchen and service teams to run the restaurant efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, help with seating and provide menus
• Explain menu items, daily specials and available food and beverage options
• Take accurate orders and pass them on to the kitchen and bar teams
• Serve food and beverages promptly and to service standards
• Check guest satisfaction and handle requests or complaints professionally
• Prepare tables, arrange cutlery and keep dining areas clean and organised
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for timely order delivery
• Process bills and payments accurately where required
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation and personal grooming standards
• Assist with opening and closing and general service duties

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar food and beverage service role
• Previous experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant or hospitality establishment
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer-service orientation and professional appearance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple guest requests
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required
• Team player
