Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of a service cost centre. The role ensures high‑quality, timely service delivery, maintains a safe working environment, and upholds the brand’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the cost centre to achieve financial targets, including work‑order cost and labour recovery rates.
• Deliver quality, timely, and fair‑value services to customers while building strong relationships.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard‑free workshop and ensure tools and equipment are well maintained.
• Plan, organise and schedule work, match technicians to tasks, and optimise manpower utilisation.
• Oversee parts ordering, quote preparation, and coordination with the front office to set realistic repair completion dates.
• Monitor repair efficiency, quality and timeliness to maximise customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Control material and labour costs, reduce waste, and manage overtime and absenteeism.
• Use the Service Work Order System (DBS) to segment work orders, book labour, parts and miscellaneous charges accurately.
