AFR Operations Specialist

About the role

The AFR Operations Specialist will support DHL Global Forwarding’s freight business in Muscat by handling shipment administration, customer interactions, and operational monitoring. You will work under close supervision to ensure shipments are processed accurately, costs are captured correctly, and customers receive timely service.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers for shipment information, incident handling, and complaint management.
• Verify that costs and revenues are recorded against each customer profile and flag any discrepancies.
• Perform administrative tasks such as booking receipt, documentation checks, and coordination of local and international transport.
• Manage shipments according to service commitments, identify exceptions, and support data‑quality improvements.
• Follow regulatory compliance procedures for commodities and destinations.
• Route and assign shipments to the appropriate consolidation points, aiming to meet service standards and maximize profitability.
• Prepare invoices with supporting documentation to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Use monitoring tools to highlight performance issues and support corrective actions.

Required profile

• Vocational, specialized, technical or certification level education.
• Less than 2 years of relevant experience, suitable for a junior candidate.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow defined processes.
