Aircraft Electrical and Environmental E&E Specialist (F-16)

About the role

The Aircraft Electrical and Environmental (E&E) Specialist is responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and testing the electrical and environmental systems of F-16 aircraft. The role includes troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and updating software to keep the aircraft mission‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise E&E functions as a 5‑Level Journeyman or 7‑Level Craftsman.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, remove, install, repair, modify, and overhaul aircraft E&E systems and components.
• Use technical data, wiring diagrams, ohm meters, electronic measuring equipment, GSE and special tools.
• Upload operational software and flight programs (OFP) and maintain software currency.
• Inspect, analyze, and evaluate malfunctions in heating/air‑conditioning, avionics cooling, cabin pressure, OBOGS, fire detection, power, lighting, and related systems.
• Remove, install, adjust, and service landing gear, control switches, fire extinguishing, fuel warning, anti‑skid, brake holding, nose gear steering, and other aircraft subsystems.
• Interpret inspection findings, recommend corrective actions, and ensure accurate maintenance records.
• Act as quality‑assurance lead, mentor technicians, and provide on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years recent experience on F-16 Block 40+ electrical and environmental systems.
• Qualified as a 2A6X6 5‑Level or 7‑Skill level technician (or equivalent).
• Proven record in F‑16 flight‑line (organizational) or back‑shop (intermediate) maintenance.
• Willingness to train on additional aircraft maintenance tasks.
