Animal Caretaker and Cleaning Maintenance Assistant

About the role

DQTEST LLC is looking for a dedicated Animal Caretaker and Cleaning Maintenance Assistant to join its team in Al Buraymi, Oman. This full‑time position combines daily animal husbandry with the upkeep of the facility, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both animals and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health and behaviour.
• Perform thorough cleaning of animal enclosures, common areas, and related facilities to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks to keep the facility in good repair and operating efficiently.
• Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and promptly report concerns to management.
• Handle animals calmly and safely, following welfare protocols.
• Manage waste disposal in line with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain an organised inventory of cleaning supplies, animal feed, and essential equipment.
• Adhere to company policies and animal welfare standards at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience in animal care or professional cleaning/maintenance is highly desirable.
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
• Physically capable of manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a workplace.
