Area Coordinator – Oil & Gas Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Area Coordinator to lead safe, efficient, and effective operations of the B60 field in Oman. The role provides leadership across field operations, facility management, maintenance coordination, and production delivery, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple field teams to achieve operational objectives and business targets.
• Ensure the highest standards of HSE, safety, emergency response, and operational compliance.
• Monitor and achieve operational KPIs, production targets, and business plan objectives.
• Manage OPEX, cost‑improvement initiatives and budget control.
• Oversee facility management, maintenance coordination and production delivery.
• Train and certify operations teams for emergency response.
• Coordinate production plans, monitor deviations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
• Manage contractors, vendors, suppliers and multiple project interfaces.
• Organise site planning meetings, resolve operational issues and provide timely management reports.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Handle workforce planning, performance management, staff development and team engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 14 years of experience in oil & gas operations.
• At least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing multiple teams.
• Proven experience in surface facilities, field operations, production delivery and maintenance.
• Strong background in resource control, contract management and general management.

Required skills

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of Operations Management Systems (OMS).
• Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
