Art Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat – Muscat is seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join its faculty on a full‑time basis. The role involves delivering engaging art lessons, supporting student development, and contributing to the vibrant school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver art lessons using provided curricula and, when required, develop lesson plans aligned with SABIS® pacing charts.
• Prepare and participate in student‑life events such as open houses, exhibitions, and physical‑education activities in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Mark examinations and provide timely feedback in line with departmental schedules.
• Support low‑performing students through targeted interventions and motivation strategies.
• Implement the SABIS® point system to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Invigilate exams and assist with various administrative duties, including supervising lunches, bus arrangements, and traffic control.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient or native level English communication skills.
• Strong communication abilities and a collaborative team mindset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
