Assistant Flight Dispatcher

About the role

SalamAir is seeking an Assistant Flight Dispatcher to support its Operations Control Centre. You will help ensure safe, efficient daily flight operations by preparing flight plans, monitoring progress, and assisting the dispatch team during disruptions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and amending Operational Flight Plans in line with regulatory, safety, and company standards.
• Analyse weather reports, NOTAMs, ATC constraints and aircraft performance data to aid operational decisions.
• Calculate RTOW and ZFW requirements where applicable.
• Maintain Operational Flight Watch, monitor flight progress and support revised flight plans when needed.
• Provide operational briefings and updates to flight crew, including field conditions and relevant information.
• Verify and archive flight documentation, ensure journey logs are completed and records are kept accurately in the AIMS system.
• Support the Flight Dispatcher and OCC during day‑to‑day operations and disruption management.

Required profile

• High School Certificate with a valid Dispatch License.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic operational environment.
