Assistant Manager – Application Support

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Application Support ensures the availability, stability, and performance of the bank's business applications. You will provide technical and functional support, manage production incidents, and maintain service continuity while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor application availability, performance, and health to guarantee service continuity.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support, diagnosing and resolving production incidents within SLA targets.
• Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct routine health checks, preventive maintenance, and system monitoring.
• Support business users by handling application queries, service requests, and technical issues.
• Manage application configurations, user access, and system settings in line with security policies.
• Collaborate with technology teams, vendors, and third‑party providers to resolve complex issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, database, network, and information‑security teams for integrated service delivery.
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, patches, and production releases, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Participate in testing, UAT, validation, and post‑implementation monitoring.
• Work with Service Management to handle incidents, problems, changes, and releases, maintaining proper documentation.
• Document configurations, support procedures, known errors, and resolutions.
• Monitor recurring issues and trends, recommending improvements for reliability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 application support.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents.
• Experience performing root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Strong collaboration skills with technology, infrastructure, and security teams.
• Familiarity with managing application configurations and user access controls.
