Assistant Manager – Medical Networks

About the role

The Assistant Manager for Medical Provider Management (MPM) is locally responsible for efficiently managing Allianz’s medical provider networks in Oman. The role involves negotiating tariffs, onboarding providers, and ensuring a diverse, financially beneficial portfolio of medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Support and drive the strategy set by the Global & Regional Head of MPM and deliver assigned objectives across the region.
• Lead contract negotiations, tariff revisions, service expansions and ensure compliance with delegation of authority policies.
• Oversee regulatory deliverables, coordinate with regulators, legal, claims and IT teams to maintain compliance.
• Manage the transition to Standard CPT pricing, conduct tariff mapping and price impact simulations.
• Drive the rollout of ePrescriptions across contracted pharmacies and integrate with Damani and PBM systems.
• Provide regular cost analysis, reporting and maintain accurate provider data and dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (medical background preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in network administration within hospitals, insurers or TPAs.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, French and Arabic.
• Strong analytical, business and commercial acumen with stakeholder management skills.
• Physically fit to perform duties and legally permitted to work in Oman.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ePrescription system integration and CPT coding processes.
