Assistant Manager - Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Retail Operations supports the brand’s growth by ensuring stores operate efficiently, meet sales targets, and deliver excellent customer experiences. This role combines leadership, operational oversight, and strategic execution across multiple retail locations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance by monitoring units per transaction, average transaction value, sales per square foot, and conversion rates.
• Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies, including loss‑prevention audits.
• Oversee visual merchandising compliance to maintain brand standards in all stores.
• Recruit, hire, and train store staff on sales techniques, customer service, and brand etiquette.
• Evaluate employee performance, conduct annual reviews, and foster open communication through coaching and motivation.
• Collaborate with Area Managers, Store Managers, and Brand General Manager to set KPIs, manage inventory, and reduce operational costs.
• Lead regional sales and operations meetings, provide feedback, and ensure participation in loyalty programmes.
• Monitor stock levels, address slow‑moving inventory, and coordinate with buyers and planners to maximize sales.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent understanding of retail operations, SOP enforcement, and visual merchandising.
• Ability to analyze sales data and implement cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Effective communication skills for coaching staff and coordinating with senior management.
• Experience in recruiting, training, and developing retail teams.
