Audit Engagement Manager (Operations)

About the role

The Senior Audit Engagement Manager – Operations leads end‑to‑end internal audit engagements within the operations domain, ensuring compliance with global audit standards, IPPF, and local regulations such as the FSA. The role acts as a subject‑matter expert for areas including Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Administration, ESG, and HSSE.

Key responsibilities

• Plan audits by understanding business processes, identifying key controls, assessing risks, and defining objectives, scope, timelines, and resources.
• Develop risk‑based audit plans and detailed audit programs, including Risk Control Matrices, aligned with internal audit methodology.
• Execute field work: perform walkthroughs, control testing, data analysis, and evidence validation; identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare concise, risk‑focused audit reports with findings, impact analysis, and actionable recommendations; discuss results with management and obtain agreed action plans.
• Maintain complete, well‑structured audit working papers in the Audit Management System and ensure readiness for QAIP reviews and external quality assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, operations management or related field.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is mandatory; additional certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA are highly preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of internal audit experience, preferably within operations functions.
• Subject‑matter expertise in Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Administration, ESG, HSSE, or similar areas.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS, COSO, eTOM frameworks.
• Familiarity with FSA regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of IPPF and global internal audit standards.
• Experience creating and using Risk Control Matrices.
• Proficiency with audit management systems and data‑analysis techniques.
