CEO – Middle East Renewable Energy

About the role

Lead Sembcorp’s renewable energy business across the Middle East, overseeing regulatory engagement, government stakeholder management, business performance and regional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a government relations and regulatory strategy for Oman, acting as the primary liaison with ministries, regulatory agencies and state‑owned entities.
• Secure and maintain all permits, licences and statutory clearances required for operations and projects.
• Monitor regulatory shifts, advise senior management on impacts and position the business to adapt proactively.
• Drive the regional business plan, manage budgets, profitability and value delivery, and ensure health, safety, environmental and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate with 15‑25 years of experience in renewable energy, power, utilities, T&D or EPC organisations.
• Minimum 5 years in a CXO or Deputy CXO role, with strong experience in regulatory engagement and compliance.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management with government authorities, shareholders, partners, lenders and contractors.
