Cluster Chief Engineer – Hospitality Leadership

About the role

As a Cluster Chief Engineer you will lead the engineering team across multiple hotels, ensuring safe, reliable building performance that enhances every guest’s stay. You will act as a key partner to Operations and Commercial teams, driving technical excellence and a culture of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director of Engineering in supervising, coaching and developing the engineering team.
• Maintain compliance with Hilton standards, risk requirements and local regulations.
• Serve as escalation point for complex engineering issues affecting guests or operations.
• Assist in preparing annual engineering budgets, capital expenditure plans and ROI analyses.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, asset protection and room‑care programmes to extend asset life.
• Monitor building systems, utilities and plant performance, reporting trends and improvement opportunities.
• Promote sustainability, ESG and energy‑reduction initiatives through effective engineering practices.
• Build strong relationships with owners, contractors, authorities and regional engineering teams.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Proven senior‑level experience in engineering management, preferably as a Cluster Chief Engineer or assistant director in hospitality.
• Ability to obtain required local licences and certifications (e.g., CPR/First Aid).
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, teamwork and guest‑focused service.
