Construction Manager - OSP (Telecom)

About the role

The OSP Construction Manager will lead and coordinate all outside‑plant (OSP) construction activities for a telecom network in Oman. This role combines field supervision, technical guidance, and quality assurance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction activities and field teams, including trenching, directional drilling, duct installation, cable pulling, splicing, and restoration.
• Review construction drawings, route maps, splice diagrams, and as‑built documentation.
• Coordinate OSP inspection tasks, resolve utility conflicts, and address construction‑related challenges.
• Ensure compliance with telecom construction standards, local regulations, and HSE policies.
• Monitor field‑team performance, conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
• Verify vendor and contractor work against specifications, conduct quality audits, and report deviations.
• Prepare acceptance schedules, site reports, and escalation documents in collaboration with contractors and Ooredoo.
• Represent the project team in district meetings and align project schedules with the overall plan.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of experience in telecommunications construction and deployment management.
• University degree in Engineering or Telecommunications (or equivalent).
• Proven experience supervising field teams and managing large‑scale OSP projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with reporting standards such as Crystal reporting.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
