Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will lead day‑to‑day activities in a fabrication yard, ensuring that structural components are fabricated, assembled, and erected safely and in line with project specifications. This role coordinates closely with planning, QA/QC, and HSE teams to deliver high‑quality work on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily yard operations, including structural fabrication, fit‑up, welding, and assembly of modules/jackets.
• Oversee outfitting and pre‑commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and procedures.
• Coordinate with the planning team to align work with the project schedule and secure necessary drawings, materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Prepare daily and weekly work plans, monitor workforce productivity, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks that could affect progress.
• Ensure all fabrication activities meet project specifications, approved WPS/PQR, and QA/QC procedures.
• Collaborate with QA/QC personnel for inspections, clearances, and rectification of quality issues.
• Enforce strict HSE standards, conduct toolbox talks, and manage incidents or near‑misses.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising fabrication yard activities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with planning, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
• Strong focus on safety, quality compliance, and productivity optimisation.
