Consultant – Child Wellbeing Indicators Framework (Remote, Oman)

About the role

The consultant will lead the development of a comprehensive child well‑being indicators framework for Oman, integrating data across sectors to support evidence‑based planning and policy. The role also includes creating digital tools for data visualization and building capacity among national stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and finalize a child well‑being indicators framework aligned with Oman Vision 2040, national development plans, CRC, CRPD and SDGs.
• Develop a digital indicator tool (e.g., Power BI) and related visualization products to enable data integration, analysis and reporting.
• Produce an operational manual, thematic analytical products, training materials and deliver hands‑on capacity‑building workshops for government and partner institutions.
• Facilitate multi‑sector consultations, consensus‑building processes and stakeholder engagement to ensure adoption of the framework.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Monitoring & Evaluation or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in developing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, indicator systems or statistical platforms.
• Proven experience working with government agencies, national statistical offices and multi‑sector stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi‑sectoral assessments and consensus‑building activities.
