About the role

The hospital in Muscat seeks an experienced Consultant Urologist specializing in robotic surgery. The role involves leading advanced urological procedures, implementing robotic‑assisted techniques, and delivering minimally invasive treatments. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and support the hospital’s reputation for cutting‑edge care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee complex urological surgeries, including robotic‑assisted operations.
• Develop and maintain minimally invasive surgical programs.
• Mentor junior surgeons and contribute to clinical research and teaching activities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital standards, patient safety protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot robotic surgical equipment and ensure optimal performance.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Post‑graduate training in General Surgery followed by DNB in Urology.
• Minimum 13 years of post‑specialisation experience.
• Significant experience in robotic urological procedures, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
• Strong academic background and involvement in urological research is desirable.
