Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

This senior client‑facing position leads a large portfolio of corporate tax engagements, delivering compliance and advisory services to local and international clients while shaping KPMG’s market presence in Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and review complex corporate tax compliance and advisory engagements for local and international clients.
• Provide strategic tax planning on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and cross‑border transactions.
• Act as primary contact for senior client stakeholders and tax authorities, handling audit defence and high‑level discussions.
• Review and sign off technical deliverables such as tax reports, memos and advisory documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes in Oman and globally (OECD, BEPS) and advise clients on their impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA, ACCA, CTA, ACA or equivalent certification mandatory.
• 8–10 years corporate tax advisory and compliance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a Big Four or multinational consultancy.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in local and international tax laws, OECD guidelines, BEPS framework and transfer pricing.
• In‑depth knowledge of GCC/Oman tax regulations.
• Technical proficiency in financial reporting and tax accounting.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP or tax automation tools such as SAP or Oracle.
