Customer Service Representative – Customs & Export

About the role

GAC Oman, part of the global GAC Group, is expanding its customs clearance, freight forwarding and sea export operations. We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Customer Service Representative to manage export documentation and maintain strong communication with clients and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate full‑cycle customs clearance and export documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin and HS codes.
• Handle customer communications regarding transportation status and export progress.
• Liaise with internal teams, customs officials, port authorities and shipping lines to ensure smooth cargo movements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client profiles and monitor timely cargo deliveries.
• Prepare and distribute regular updates and reports to clients.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in customs brokerage, sea exports or transportation logistics.
• Strong knowledge of Oman customs regulations, export documentation and trade compliance.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a collaborative and ethical work approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, high‑pressure environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
