Data Center Operator – IT Infrastructure Monitoring

About the role

The Data Center Operator will ensure high‑quality monitoring and operational support for the bank’s data centre. Working in shifts, you will help maintain service level agreements, manage batch jobs, and coordinate with vendors to keep the environment stable and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise data‑centre systems, logging and reporting any issues.
• Coordinate with IT teams to maximise uptime and resolve incidents.
• Perform production batch‑job setup, scheduling, and conflict resolution.
• Execute backup and restore procedures, monitor scheduled backups and capacity thresholds.
• Recycle, start, and stop devices and processes as required.
• Provide Level 1 scripted support and escalate incidents according to the incident‑management process.
• Track hardware, environmental parameters and usage levels, notifying the team when critical limits are approached.
• Maintain documentation, work registers and backup‑recovery procedures.
