Data Solutions Architect – Relocation to Oman

About the role

Introduct Group is seeking a senior Data Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑scale data platforms for a European internet marketplace. The role is based on‑site in Muscat, Oman and involves close collaboration with client architects, DBAs and business SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect large‑scale data warehouses, data marts, ODS and integration hubs with a focus on Oracle‑native deployments, including Exadata.
• Create high‑level and low‑level design artefacts, canonical data models, source‑to‑target mappings and topology diagrams.
• Lead hands‑on development of schema design, PL/SQL code, ETL/ELT pipelines, partitioning strategies and materialized view refresh mechanisms.
• Define platform‑wide standards for data modelling (Kimball, Data Vault 2.0, 3NF), naming conventions, data quality and code structure.
• Conduct architecture and code reviews, mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, and optimise Oracle performance (partition pruning, indexing, parallel query, Exadata features).
• Produce delivery‑grade documentation including architecture decisions, runbooks, data dictionaries and handover packs.
• Contribute technical input to proposals, pre‑sales sizing and effort estimation for Oracle‑heavy scopes.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture or data platform roles.
• Proven track record designing and delivering multi‑terabyte data warehouses and high‑availability Oracle environments.
• Strong background in professional services or consultancy, with experience owning technical outcomes on client‑facing projects.
• Experience delivering solutions for public‑sector clients such as police or law‑enforcement agencies is a plus.

Required skills

• Oracle PL/SQL, RAC, Exadata, Materialized Views, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Database 19c+.
• Data modelling techniques: Kimball dimensional modelling, Data Vault 2.0, 3NF relational design.
• SQL Server T‑SQL, SSIS, SSAS (strong plus).
• ETL/ELT development, Change Data Capture (CDC), Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD), event‑driven ingestion.
• Data‑warehouse partitioning, performance tuning and optimisation.
