Demi Chef de Partie – Culinary

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie supports the kitchen team by preparing special meals, maintaining food quality, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods. This full‑time position works on‑site at the Harvest venue in Muscat.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items following recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Thaw frozen items, maintain food logs, and ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish.
• Communicate with chefs and service staff about menu specials, excess items and out‑of‑stock dishes.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating team members, acting as a role model.
• Follow safety, security and hygiene policies, report maintenance needs and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and complete required safety training.
• Assist in inventory management by informing the chef of excess items for daily specials.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen experience.
