Electrical Project Engineer – Oman

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support our Projects Department in delivering electrical utility projects across Oman. You will ensure that all technical requirements, standards and grid codes are met while managing project timelines, budgets and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review and follow‑up daily, weekly and monthly project plans and contractor activities.
• Organise project review meetings with contractors and consultants.
• Check and validate consultants' and contractors' invoices.
• Review electrical specifications, drawings and documents for compliance with TSS, Standard Specification and Grid Code.
• Visit sites to monitor installation progress and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate with civil engineers to align civil works with electrical requirements.
• Handle variation orders, time extensions and specification changes while minimising cost impact.
• Implement and monitor HSE plans, conduct monthly HSE walk‑downs and manage recovery actions.
• Prepare change‑order analysis, risk registers and financial reports (cash flow, VOWD).
• Support project closure activities, including issuance of TOC and FAC.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical utilities and project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
