Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for maintaining, installing, overhauling and modifying electrical machinery and equipment at our plant in Ibri, Oman. The role ensures reliable operation of all electrical assets while adhering to HSE guidelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and preventive electrical maintenance according to ACWA NOMAC procedures.
• Monitor equipment condition, report non‑conformances and support corrective actions.
• Respond to electrical failures, diagnose faults in transformers, motors, relays, switches and control devices, and implement repairs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to carry out troubleshooting tasks.
• Align, adjust and calibrate equipment to specification and maintain accurate repair records.
• Check spare‑part inventory levels and assist with inventory control.
• Update maintenance logbooks with detailed work reports and findings.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Technical certificate or Associate’s Diploma in Electrical Maintenance.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely following HSE and quality procedures.
