Electrical Technician Trainee

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Technician Trainee to perform maintenance, installation, overhauling and modification of plant electrical machinery and equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance with HSE and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily and preventative electrical maintenance according to schedule and ACWA NOMAC procedures.
• Monitor equipment condition, report non‑conformances and support continuous operation of plant facilities.
• Respond to electrical failures, diagnose faults in transformers, motors, relays, switches and control devices, and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to guide maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Align, adjust and calibrate equipment to specifications and maintain accurate repair records.
• Check spare‑part inventory levels and support effective inventory control.
• Update maintenance logbooks with details of work performed, findings and equipment status.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and adhere to all relevant policies, HSE and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Technical certificate or Associate’s Diploma in Electrical Maintenance.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or related field.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, technical manuals and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Ibri, Oman.
