Engineering Lecturer

About the role

The Engineering Lecturer will join the Vocational Training Centre in Muscat, delivering high‑quality teaching and contributing to the academic community under the direction of the Head of Department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and labs to Bachelor and Master level engineering students.
• Prepare course materials, design assessments and conduct research in the engineering field.
• Advise and mentor students, invigilate examinations and assess student performance.
• Participate in faculty meetings, academic committees and organise departmental workshops.
• Maintain a teaching load of 18‑21 contact hours per week within a 5‑day work week.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Bachelor’s and Master’s specialisations must be the same or closely related.
• At least five years of teaching experience at a reputable college or university after obtaining the Master’s degree.
• Experience teaching the relevant specialization to Bachelor or Master level students.
