Field Operator I – Plant Operations

About the role

The Field Operator I ensures stable plant operation, supports production targets, and carries out routine monitoring and maintenance of process equipment in accordance with Operations, Maintenance and QHSE guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor operational parameters in the field and record them in log‑sheets.
• Perform shutdowns and startups of systems as required.
• Coordinate with the Control Room Operator on parameters during normal operation, startups and shutdowns.
• Top‑up oil and cooling systems and oversee online chemical injection where applicable.
• Provide shift handover information to maintain or improve plant performance.
• Execute daily, monthly and quarterly checks and frontline maintenance tasks.
• Report any abnormal conditions immediately to the Control Room Operator and Operations Lead.
• Prepare systems safely before maintenance, track work progress, and ensure conditions are suitable for restart.
• Identify, report and correct unsafe conditions and enforce housekeeping standards.
• Apply QHSE procedures (LOTO, PTW, TBT, JHA) and document them correctly.

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree in Industrial Processes, Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in oil and gas production or process field operations.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and analytical mindset.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
