Field Operator

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Field Operator to monitor and control plant operations, ensuring safe start‑up and shut‑down in accordance with standard operating procedures. The role works closely with the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor to maintain optimal performance of power, water desalination or renewable energy facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor local operational parameters and record readings on log sheets.
• Coordinate with the CCR Operator for start‑up, shut‑down and emergency actions.
• Inspect equipment and auxiliaries, report abnormalities, and raise work requests for defects.
• Perform scheduled equipment change‑overs and assist in isolating and lining up systems before and after maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure clean‑up after maintenance activities.
• Document shift activities, incidents and near‑misses in the log book.
• Adhere to health, safety, security and environmental procedures, reporting any regulatory deviations.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of field‑operation experience in power, water desalination (RO, MSF, MED) or renewable energy (solar, wind) plants.
• Familiarity with plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions and basic control logic.
• Knowledge of emergency operation procedures and firefighting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a shift environment.
