Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Freelance Field Support Specialist to deliver on‑site IT assistance when full‑time engineers are unavailable or during dispatch activities. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work directly with end‑users across a variety of environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to company standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix support.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, and escalations with OEMs and vendors.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Image laptops and desktops and support printer and network printer installations.
• Assist with conference room AV setup and meeting‑room technologies.
• Deliver high‑touch VIP/end‑user support and handle Office 365 account issues.
• Install and troubleshoot compliance and security software, supporting both Windows and Mac devices.
• Adhere to Service Level Agreements and document incidents and resolutions.
• Support after‑hours activities, events, and recurring meetings as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with hardware support and peripheral devices.
• Basic networking understanding (DHCP, DNS, LAN).
• Experience with printer and network printer setup.
• Familiarity with Office 365 support.
• Good communication and ability to work independently.
• Experience in inventory management and vendor coordination.
