Field Technician – Oil & Gas Pipeline Services

About the role

PIPECARE is seeking a Field Technician to support pipeline integrity projects across the oil and gas sector. The role involves on‑site execution of pigging, cleaning, and in‑line inspection activities while ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, sign and submit pigging, daily, express and other relevant reports.
• Discuss equipment and tool requirements, including auxiliaries, AGM’s, DGPS, magnets, launching trays, spares and toolbox items.
• Study and analyse project documents, operation manuals, pigging procedures and related paperwork.
• Establish professional contacts with client field personnel and maintain good working relations.
• Execute field work safely and efficiently in line with QA/QC procedures, time, resource and financial plans.
• Coordinate activities between the team, subcontractors, client and other parties.
• Perform In‑Line Inspection (ILI) runs without data loss according to POF & API standards.
• Carry out cleaning runs to meet established criteria.
• Conduct site and DGP surveys following procedures and operational requirements.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector, preferably with ILI exposure.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Professional level of English.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including international trips.
• Flexibility to work varied hours based on project needs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
