Finance and Accounts Manager

About the role

Muscat Elite is launching a luxury automotive and private members’ club business in Oman and needs a hands‑on Finance & Accounts Manager to own the entire finance function. You will be responsible for accurate financial records, month‑end close, VAT, payroll, cash‑flow, budgeting and reporting, while governing the Odoo platform as the single source of truth.

Key responsibilities

• Own and configure Odoo (v16+) and Odoo.sh environments, manage modules, user permissions and backups.
• Run day‑to‑day accounting: AP/AR processing, bank reconciliations, fixed‑asset register, inventory valuation and petty‑cash management.
• Deliver month‑end close by day 5, produce management packs by day 7 and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns to the Oman Tax Authority, manage corporate tax filings and run payroll through the WPS system.
• Produce rolling 13‑week and 12‑month cash‑flow forecasts, build annual budgets and report variances.
• Maintain segregation of duties, approval controls and lead the external statutory audit.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA qualification (or final stage).
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, including 3 years of full‑cycle accounting.
• At least 3 years of practical Odoo experience (version 16 or later) with configuration of Chart of Accounts, taxes, journals and analytic accounts.
• Experience filing VAT returns in Oman or another GCC country and running payroll via WPS.

Required skills

• Odoo (v16+) and Odoo.sh administration.
• Advanced Excel for forecasting and budgeting.
• Basic Python or Odoo Studio for customisations.
• API integration experience between Odoo and external systems.
• VAT filing and payroll processing in Oman.
