Fitness & Recreation Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Fitness & Recreation Manager to oversee the pool and beach areas at our Al Mouj resort. Reporting to the Director of Recreation, you will ensure high standards of maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service while leading a team of recreation staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage recreation staff, covering daily operations, scheduling, and quality control.
• Maintain pool and beach facilities, including cabana units, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate events, programs, and activities such as sand painting, bonfires, and team‑building sessions.
• Manage external vendors for water sports and scuba, and oversee supply ordering and inventory.
• Run the children’s program, handling activity planning, equipment purchase, and staff supervision.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of recreation/health‑club experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members, including participation in performance appraisals and training coordination.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, plan events, and manage resources effectively.
