Flow Controller I – Baggage Handling

About the role

The Flow Controller I ensures smooth baggage movement across designated airport baggage handling system (BHS) zones. You will monitor conveyor lines, clear jams, and support real‑time operations to guarantee on‑time baggage delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor baggage flow in assigned BHS areas and identify potential congestion.
• Clear bag jams safely, minimizing downtime.
• Respond immediately to system faults, alarms, and operational calls from SCADA or Shift Leaders.
• Support continuous baggage flow to avoid short‑shipped bags.
• Communicate continuously with SCADA operators and report incidents, jams, and delays.
• Follow safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain cleanliness and participate in FOD control.
• Assist maintenance technicians during preventive and corrective tasks.
• Provide accurate shift handover reports and contribute to operational reporting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–4 years experience in industrial, logistics, or airport operations (BHS preferred).
• Valid driving licence (preferred/required based on site).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, noisy, hot environment.
• Strong basic English communication skills.
• Teamwork, coordination and basic computer literacy.
• Physical ability to lift, walk, bend and stand for extended periods.
