Foundation Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Foundation Teacher to join our early years team in Muscat. The successful candidate will deliver the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons aligned with the UK curriculum and school schemes of work.
• Assign and monitor homework in line with school policies.
• Utilise assessment data to track progress, set targets, and inform future planning.
• Provide regular oral and written feedback, applying the school’s marking policy.
• Record and analyse formative and summative assessments to ensure student progress.
• Undertake pastoral duties and support student well‑being.
• Participate in curriculum, administrative and pastoral meetings.
• Attend parent meetings prepared to discuss achievement and welfare.
• Engage in professional development and training opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar early years role.
• EYFS degree or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working within the UK education system.
• Desirable: PGCE, QTS or a teaching licence.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and EYFS framework.
