Fuels Manager / Alternate Site Manager

About the role

The Fuels Manager (FM) / Alternate Site Manager (ASM) leads the Fuels Department, overseeing asset management, program quality, and day‑to‑day site operations for USAFCENT requirements in Oman.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, accountability, storage, security, and deployment of fuel assets, ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 standards.
• Coordinate reconstitution, preservation, and periodic inspections of fuel systems, including calibration of meters and hydrostatic testing of hoses.
• Serve as primary liaison between Amentum sites and USAFCENT, tracking deployments and providing reports and briefings.
• Develop, revise, and implement Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and training plans for fuel operations.
• Supervise a small team of U.S. nationals and foreign/local personnel, handling health, morale, and conduct standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of specialized experience in fuel hydrant operations and bulk petroleum storage.
• At least 3 years in logistics, project or operations management and 2 years supervisory experience in fuel operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Willingness to travel, work shifts, and operate in remote, potentially hazardous environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Knowledge of USAF maintenance management systems, including OLVIMS.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 quality assurance and HAZMAT certification requirements.
• Capability to obtain a flight line driver license and HAZMAT certifications as required.
