General Manager – Lifestyle Hotel

About the role

The General Manager will lead Aloft Muscat, a modern mid‑upscale lifestyle hotel near the international airport. Reporting to Marriott leadership, you will be accountable for overall performance, guest experience, and commercial results across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Rooms, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and HR.
• Maintain Marriott brand standards, conduct operational audits, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Champion F&B concepts, drive menu innovation, control costs, and maximize profitability of the all‑day dining and specialty restaurant.
• Develop and execute annual business plans, budgets, and GOP targets while monitoring financial performance.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of approximately 80 associates, fostering a performance‑driven culture and ensuring compliance with Oman labour laws.
• Act as the brand ambassador, engage with guests and key stakeholders, and resolve escalated guest issues.
• Ensure health, safety, risk management, security, and sustainability initiatives are fully implemented.

Required profile

• First‑time General Manager with a strong operational background, preferably from an F&B‑focused lifestyle hotel.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑departmental hotel operations and drive financial results.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Marriott brand standards and local labour regulations.
