General Manager Platforms & Engineering

About the role

The General Manager Platforms & Engineering will lead the design, delivery and operation of scalable, secure, high‑performance digital platforms and applications. Reporting to the VP Digital & Technology, this role ensures that all initiatives align with architectural roadmaps and are ready for commercial launch.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver approved digital initiatives following defined sequencing, scope and architectural standards.
• Design and build modular, reusable platforms, integration layers and enterprise data/AI services.
• Govern APIs, middleware and system interoperability while embedding security and compliance controls.
• Reduce legacy complexity through structured modernization and ensure performance, scalability and reliability of applications.
• Validate integration stability, conduct scalability testing and manage structured handover to operations.
• Coordinate engineering execution with architecture governance, monitor vendor performance and manage technology partners.
• Build high‑performance engineering teams, strengthen DevSecOps, automation and CI/CD maturity.
• Identify and surface technical risks that could impact delivery or service continuity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a management position.
• Proven leadership, conflict‑resolution and change‑management capabilities.
• Ability to inspire teams, drive innovation and make timely decisions.
