Guest Room Technician – Engineering (Marina Systems)

About the role

Jumeirah Muscat Bay is seeking a Guest Room Technician – Engineering to maintain and operate the technical infrastructure of its marina and resort facilities. The role combines hands‑on maintenance with coordination of external services to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all technical systems and infrastructure within the marina, including sewage, water, electrical power, buildings, roads, pontoons, lighting, pump‑out systems, access gates, fire protection and related equipment.
• Ensure proper operation and compliance of seawater circulation, sanitary facilities, substations, pump stations, sewage treatment, water tanks, parking areas, coastal zones, piers and other prefabricated structures.
• Coordinate disposal of hazardous waste through authorised providers and ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
• Arrange and oversee external maintenance services for marina infrastructure that cannot be managed internally, supporting the Marina Manager with technical maintenance budgeting.
• Inspect and verify functionality of all marina safety equipment and systems, assisting the Facility Management Company and external vendors during onsite works, including issuance of work permits.
• Monitor water and electricity consumption, ensure accurate monthly meter readings, maintain technical and project documentation, and record/report any damage for insurance purposes.

Required profile

• High school education with a relevant technical diploma.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven leadership, team‑management, creativity and project‑management skills.
• Minimum of one year experience working within a technical department.
