Guest Service Specialist

About the role

The Guest Service Specialist (GSS) delivers exceptional service to hotel guests, handling check‑in/check‑out, inquiries and complaints while ensuring a seamless experience in line with IHG brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Handle check‑in and check‑out efficiently, ensuring accurate guest accounts and room allocations.
• Provide information on hotel facilities, services and local attractions, and anticipate guest needs.
• Address and resolve guest complaints promptly, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B and other departments to fulfil guest requests, including VIP and group arrivals.

Required profile

• Omani nationals are highly preferred.
• High school diploma; hospitality diploma or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 1–3 years experience in guest relations, front office or customer service within a hotel.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel Property Management System (PMS) software.
• Familiarity with guest service procedures and handling of valuables, lost‑and‑found, and guest correspondence.
