Gymnastics Teacher – Full‑Time

About the role

The International School of Choueifat – Muscat is seeking a dedicated Gymnastics Teacher to join its faculty. The role involves delivering the SABIS curriculum, fostering student achievement, and contributing to a vibrant school community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver gymnastics lessons using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments in line with departmental schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department on disciplinary and performance matters.
• Implement the SABIS® point system to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Invigilate exams and support low‑performing students to improve motivation and results.
• Prepare students for external examinations through structured revision sessions.
• Assist with duties such as testing, substitute teaching, lunch and bus organization, traffic control, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student‑life events, including art, open house, and physical education activities.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.
• Undertake additional projects or tasks as delegated by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient or native English language skills.
• Strong communication abilities and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
