Host/Hostess – Guest Service at Aloft Muscat

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to welcome guests at our Aloft hotel in Muscat. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures throughout the shift.
• Monitor seating availability, service flow, and guest safety.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.
• Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and provide clear, professional communication.
• Support team members to achieve common goals and uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior experience required; willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance and clear verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality and protection of company assets.
