HSE Advisor – Omani National (Middle East & Africa)

About the role

The HSE Advisor will provide operational HSE support and data management for Middle East and Africa sites, including offshore and on‑shore operations. The role focuses on building a positive safety culture through the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive HSSE management system.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain the HSSE management system across all regional sites.
• Partner with process champions to implement core HSSE processes and requirements.
• Conduct site HSE visits, audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a local legal register and liaise with regulatory agencies.
• Review customer HSE requirements and support tender responses.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual HSE performance reports.
• Support line management with HSE training, incident reporting and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Omani national with proven experience in HSE roles within the oil & gas or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of regional HSE regulations and standards.
• Ability to lead audits, risk assessments and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business groups and external agencies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Familiarity with API safety and environmental standards.
• Experience with HSSE management system implementation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in maintaining legal compliance registers.
• Competence in conducting HSE audits and risk assessments.
