Human Resources Assistant

About the role

The Human Resources Assistant will work full‑time on‑site in Masqat, supporting the daily operations of the HR department at Sindbad.om. The role involves maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with onboarding and orientation, and helping coordinate training and benefits administration to ensure a smooth and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and regularly update employee records and HRIS data, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation processes, preparing contracts, welcome packs and other HR documentation.
• Coordinate training sessions, schedule venues, track participation, and prepare related materials and reports.
• Support benefits administration by communicating options, processing enrollments, and handling related inquiries.
• Respond promptly to employee questions, provide guidance on HR policies, and collaborate with managers to facilitate HR workflows.

Required profile

• Strong background in HR support, including employee record management and HR coordination.
• Experience or formal training in HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
• Ability to handle confidential information with high attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred, though relevant experience may be considered.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for data entry and reporting.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
