IT Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The IT Internal Audit Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on information systems audit engagements within the bank. This role works closely with the Head of Information Systems Audit to ensure audit activities align with risk priorities and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a risk‑based internal audit plan, including budgeting and resource allocation.
• Lead or support multiple audit engagements concurrently, ensuring proper resourcing and timely execution.
• Review the design and operating effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, and controls in assigned audit units.
• Assess governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance with laws, regulations, and bank policies.
• Document audit procedures, test results, findings, and recommendations in accordance with IIA standards and CBO regulations.
• Communicate audit results through written reports and presentations to senior audit leadership and management.
• Evaluate the performance of audit staff and develop individual development plans.
• Lead investigations of significant issues, including fraud, and ensure follow‑up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning and delivering information systems internal audit engagements.
• Strong knowledge of the Internal Audit Manual, IIA standards, and relevant banking regulations.
• Ability to lead audit teams, manage resources, and interact with senior audit leadership.
• Experience investigating significant issues such as fraud and implementing corrective actions.
