IT Manager – Hotel Property

About the role

The IT Manager provides first‑ and second‑level technical support for a designated hotel property, handling break‑fix repairs, installations, and ongoing maintenance. Working within established guidelines, the role ensures technology systems operate reliably and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage technology budgets, assist IT leadership with CAPEX and operating budget forecasts, and place equipment orders.
• Conduct periodic inventories of hardware and applications, prepare reports, and ensure assets are secured and compliant with Marriott policies.
• Build and sustain relationships with internal customers by preparing proposals, project plans, and status reports.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives, providing technical guidance and escalating issues as needed.
• Provide end‑user support: image desktops, install software, apply patches, map drives, migrate data, and perform routine backups.
• Maintain server and network infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, and access points, and perform preventive maintenance and backups.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2‑4 years of IT experience, or a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field with 2 years experience.
• Preferred system‑related professional certifications.

Required skills

• Desktop imaging, software installation, patch deployment, and routine backup procedures.
• Server maintenance, backup management, and preventive maintenance of network equipment (switches, routers, APs).
• Data migration and peripheral configuration (PCs, peripherals, drive mapping).
• Knowledge of security measures such as encryption and quarterly ID audits.
