IT Manager

About the role

The IT Manager provides first‑ and second‑level technical support, handling break‑fix, installations and maintenance for designated Marriott properties. Working within established guidelines, the role ensures technology assets are operational, secure and aligned with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist IT leadership with CAPEX and operating budgets, place equipment orders, process invoices and conduct inventory of applications and hardware.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers, prepare proposals and status reports, and respond to inquiries from associates, vendors and peers.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, desktop imaging, software deployment, network connectivity, and ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
• Maintain server infrastructure, perform backups, preventative maintenance, and coordinate with Marriott IT or external vendors for complex issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2‑4 years of experience in information technology or a related field.
• Or an associate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Professional certifications related to systems administration are preferred.

Required skills

• Desktop imaging, operating system installation, software patching and drive mapping.
• PC and peripheral configuration, data migration and routine desktop backup.
• Encryption, security patch deployment and compliance audit participation.
• Server backup, preventative maintenance and basic networking (switches, routers, access points).
