IT Technical Associate – End User Support (Oman)

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for IT Technical Associates to provide end‑user computing support for office, warehouse and store environments in Oman. The role involves on‑site troubleshooting, equipment installation and coordination with third‑party vendors to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and problems related to desktops, laptops, PDTs, access points, terminal servers and IDFs, providing break/fix support to users.
• Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software following change‑management procedures.
• Coordinate IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) requests, schedule technicians and communicate status to users.
• Connect equipment to LAN/WAN networks, manage Wi‑Fi access points and ensure network connectivity.
• Maintain email clients, O365 collaboration services, anti‑virus solutions and device encryption.
• Support peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, POS terminals, thermal and laser printers, barcode printers and digital signage.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience supporting end‑user computing equipment in office, warehouse or retail settings.
• Ability to work onsite, interact with users and coordinate with third‑party service providers.

• Microsoft Office 365 administration
• Windows operating systems and VDI management
• LAN/WAN networking, Wi‑Fi access points, routers and switches
• Printer and peripheral management (laser, thermal, MFP, barcode)
• POS system support and Verifone devices
• Anti‑virus configuration and device encryption
